SUMMARY:  

MDM Business Analyst are the visible, action-oriented drivers of data governance efforts. Data steward has responsibility, accountability and ownership of initiatives related to the assessment, improvement and ongoing maintenance of critical data assets. This person is also the business expert responsible to lead and consult on project initiatives dependent on master data. The purpose of this role is to perform data quality control checks, process adherence checks, and manage data for the Item Master, Supplier Master, & Customer Master as a collaborative member of the DMM (Data, Metrics and Measures) team.

                                                                 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform data quality control checks and process adherence checks for master data.
  • Manages Item Master, Customer Master, Supplier Master, etc. across systems.
  • Define and manage business processes for relevant data domains or elements to achieve system integrity and consistency. Master Data Stewards are not owners of the data. Instead they are trustees, ensuring that data quality is maintained and data governance rules are followed.
  • Asses the current state of data control processes for specific data domains or elements.
  • Capture key business data rules across multiple business systems and monitor those business rules.
  • Monitor and track ongoing data quality levels on a regular basis. Identify and establish optimal approaches to resolve data quality issues. Support Data Owners with resolution of data quality issues. Publicize success stories and lessons learnt to further engage individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Work within and across systems and functions/departments to implement data improvement approaches. Actively participate in the design and deployment of applications and data integration.
  • Super user of EDQ (Enterprise Data Quality) tools and PDH (Product Data Hub). Performs import, cleansing, and enrichment functions.
  • Work with cross functional business partners in marketing, operations, information technology, procurement, supply chain and quality to develop, manage and implement a priority list of all key projects.
  • Deliver training to company personnel the principals, policies, and procedures of the DMM system.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 Four-year degree (or the equivalent) in a technical or financial field. 1-3 years of experience in master data processing and ERP systems.

  • Proven organizational and priority setting skills.
  • Analytical, process management, data management and taxonomy expertise. Ability to work effectively in team-based environment with multiple functional groups.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to achieve results and execute multiple simultaneous projects.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to train others in a systematic, detailed work processes. Must be able to create or refine work processes to a changing IT and business environment.
  • Ability to organize and manage projects; interact, support, facilitate and support multi-functional work teams; ability to provide support to Corporate- and plant-based projects or programs.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines, and communicating status.
  • Proficient in Windows environment and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
  • Understanding of wine, spirit & beer sizes, categories and regions is expected
  • Ability to communicate with management and suppliers as it related to product details and specifications
