Development Internship

Do you want to be in the entertainment industry, but can't find a way in? If so, you're going to need the skills and relevant work experience to get your foot in the door for your first job. Through our hands-on, year-round internship program, students will have a unique opportunity to work with a great team of industry professionals. The company specializes in all areas of the entertainment business; television, publishing and much more. We are a leading independent production company focused on content creation for film, television, digital, mobile distribution and have several TV shows on major networks and manage A-List Talent.

You will have the unique opportunity to float between different departments of our company so you can learn everything it takes to run a successful entertainment business. Please see below for further details.


Internship Semester Dates
  • Spring 2018 Internship: January 2nd to May 20th (ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS)
  • Summer 2018 Internship: June 25th to August 31st (ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS)

Responsibilities
  • Interns will have the opportunity to work in many different departments from gaining which include gaining knowledge of the Reality TV creation process, casting (promotional materials for casts and interviewing potential cast member). 
  • Strong writing skills and a willingness to do deep-dive research are required. 
  • Interns will receive a broad understanding of the TV sales landscape, skills required to create sales materials, and will be exposed to cast interviewing/editing.

Potential areas of specialization, please indicate which department you would be interested in applying:

Production/ Producing
Be exposed to production management, business and creative development, script coverage, production planning including schedules, breakdown and budgets. Students should have a focus on producing Tv and Film content, including all aspects of preparation, field production and delivery of products to the market.  

Development/Casting
  • Interns will be able to work in close collaboration under our development team and gain more insight in creating sizzle reels, decks, editing/transcribing casting tapes, image production, searching for stock images/ video footage etc.
  • Be able to sit in on pitch meetings, do script coverage and so much more.

Editor/ Graphic Designers
  • Interns interested in graphic design would need to be able to conceptualize, and execute a wide variety of graphics for tv decks, social media campaigns and more. Interns would need to love researching design, daydream design, and LOVE design.
  • Having knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, Photoshop and other editing software is a major plus.
  • Being able to produce creative materials 

Social Media
  • Manage our multiple social media accounts, and create and manage a weekly content calendar
  • Produce innovative social media campaigns
  • Write and post blog posts/tweets etc.
  • Develop a following for our account. Find users to follow/friend/like our page
  • Upload and post videos, photo albums, etc. Ability to create and upload Twitter & YouTube backgrounds, and minor video editing skills are a plus.
  • Review, analyze and provide actionable reporting on key performance indicators and fan base metrics
  • Report findings to the team by creating biweekly reports for upper management and client review based on digital analytics and fan engagement.

Candidate Requirements
  • Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university and be receiving school credit for our unpaid internship.
  • Have strong computer proficiency skills, including knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Keynote, Pages, and Gmail. 
  • Must have a professional manner and exceptional communication skills. 
  • Be detail oriented with strong organizational skills and have the ability to multitask. 
  • Must be eligible to work in the US and at least 18 years old.
  • Intern will provide their own housing and transportation for the duration of the unpaid internship.
  • Maintain a consistent work schedule throughout the session.
  • Our interns should not be intimated by the fast-paced nature of the business and is a passionate, bright go-getter with strong intellectual curiosity.
  • Before starting with our internship, you will be required to show proof that you are receiving school credit from your school.

Salary: COLLEGE CREDIT ONLY. YOU MUST BE ENROLLED IN COLLEGE RECEIVING SCHOOL CREDIT.
