Film Intern

Do you believe in advancing free markets, limited government, and individual liberty? Are you passionate about telling stories about freedom through film and video content? Do you possess excellent communication skills and have a strong desire to work in film and television production? Then you may be the right person for MPI.
We are looking for independent, dynamic, creative, energetic, and self-motivated college juniors and seniors, graduate students, or recent graduates for this position. Judgment, focus, humility, organization, an ability to work under pressure, and a sense of humor are also important.
MPI is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that promotes freedom through film, comedy, and online videos. MPI places interns in production companies, in studios, and on MPI sets. Our interns get hands-on experience in film while building professional relationships and establishing themselves within the industry.
Internships are available in Los Angeles, New York, Washington D.C., and more. This position is open in spring, summer, and fall, can be part-time or full-time, and is an average duration of 12-16 weeks. We are currently hiring interns for the 2018 spring and summer terms.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Interns' responsibilities vary depending upon their hosts' job descriptions. Typical tasks can include, but are not limited to, script coverage (reading, analyzing, and performing written evaluations of screenplays), production assistance, video editing, research, logging footage, social media and outreach assistance, and administrative duties. MPI responsibilities may include attending and actively participating in educational masterclasses (in-person and online) as well as networking gatherings, and submitting written evaluations of your internship experience to MPI.
