Tax Auditor - Riverside

Positions are located in the Riverside office. Under close supervision of the Supervising Tax Auditor, for the first three to six months, the incumbent conducts field audits of the least to moderately difficult accounts; attends basic tax law and audit training classes; makes audit appointments; meets with taxpayers and their representatives; explains the audit findings; and prepares appropriate audit reports. After the initial training period, incumbent attends additional classes and efficiently performs audit duties under general supervision. Prepare weekly and monthly timesheets, audit status reports for all work in process. Attend meetings and appeals conferences.
