Post-Production Intern

Alucia Productions is seeking an Intern with a strong knowledge of post-production to assist with some of our post-production tasks. We have a large archive of stunning 4k footage that needs to cataloged and organized. Working under our media manager/editor you will gain a better understanding of the post workflow for natural history filmmaking. As the material is logged you will have an opportunity to cut short pieces using the material, with the possibly of having it featured in our digital feed. This is a great opportunity for an up-and-coming student to get a chance to get their hands dirty with some world-class natural history footage. There will be a variety of other tasks that will be assigned within the post-production process that will help give a better understanding of the workflow of the post-production industry. This will be a paid internship with the expectation that the intern be able to work 4-5 days per week. 

• Must be currently enrolled as a full-time undergrad student, with specialization in a Film and Video or Communications - particularly post-production
  
• Excellent organization and detail orientation
  
• Able to assist with equipment inventory, data entry, logging video and photo metadata, and other possible pre/or post production tasks
  
• Open to completing other administrative or general office task, as needed.
  
• Self-starter with a strong work ethic, ability to take direction and follow instruction. Have a positive attitude and be a team player.
  
• General knowledge of camera and production equipment
  
• Experience with NLE software (Avid preferred) and Adobe Suite software
  
• A basic understanding of digital post production workflows with some editing experience
  
• Bonus: Interest in underwater shooting, passion for the ocean. 
  

• Transcoding, tagging, and cataloguing world-class nature footage into our digital archive
• From time to time, editing short pieces for use on our company's social media pages
• Other pre or post production tasks as needed
• Assist with equipment inventory
