Quality Assurance Administrator

AAREN Scientific is a medical device manufacturer located in Ontario, CA that produces a full line of high quality intraocular lenses (IOL’s). We are a growing medical device manufacturing company looking for experienced, highly motivated individuals to support the growth initiatives and demands.
Aaren Scientific, Inc., is looking for a Quality Assurance Administrator. This individual is responsible for document control and coordination of the calibration system at Aaren Scientific. The Quality Assurance Administrator controls, maintains, and issues the Company’s controlled documents according to regulatory, customer and company requirements. This role also includes managing and maintaining clerical activities for the successful operation of the calibration system. This position is a temporary position help is needed for approximately 5 months.
 
Some of the duties include the following:
  1. Store, manage and track company documents; including maintenance of a master index or database for all controlled documents.
  2. Ensure that documents are reviewed and approved in a timely manner.
  3. Maintain controlled hard copies of required documents throughout all departments of the Company, as required.
  4. Scan, image, organize and maintain documents, adhering to the company's document control process, and archive inactive records in accordance with the records retention schedule.
  5. Manage obsolete documents to ensure that outdated or unnecessary documents are properly archived in accordance with the Company’s records retention schedules.
  6. Assist other departments develop and maintain documents such as meeting minutes, drawings, specifications, approvals and related items.
  7. Responsible for implementation and maintenance of calibration labeling and files, including calibration database.
  8. Complete accurate, effective, and resourceful calibration support processes including notification to departments of upcoming scheduled calibration.
  9. Communicate and coordinate on and off-site calibration activities with approved third-party calibration service providers.
 
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
The successful Quality Assurance Administrator must be able to perform each essential duty with a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
  1. Must have a high school diploma. Minimum two years Quality-related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. Acute attention to detail. Excellent organizational skills with a high degree of initiative and flexibility. Strong interpersonal, communication, and team building skills. Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
 
Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Average hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00a.m. to 4:30pm., 40 hours per week.
 
Benefits
This position is considered to be a temporary position. The support for this position is needed for approximately 4 months. The holder of this position is not entitled to benefits such as vacation, health, or 401k.
