Systems R&D Engineer I

Role Summary
The R&D Engineering group at Anuvu is primarily responsible for system research and development, and for the development and qualification of connectivity and wireless IFE system LRUs for both line fit and retrofit commercial aircraft programs. Anuvu is looking for a Systems and R&D Engineer I candidate that will report to the Sr. Manager of Systems and R&D Engineering. This role will create all documentation necessary to qualify and certify an LRU through and FAA/EASA STC process and Line Fit programs. Supporting the qualification efforts for LRUs at testing labs and on Aircraft testing. This candidate shall be ambitious, hardworking, and determined to completing every task. The Systems and R&D Engineer I shall be passionate about aircraft avionics components. This candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, as week work together as one organization to complete company goals.

What We’re Looking For 
  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or related discipline
  • 1-5 years’ of experience in an engineering discipline
  • 1-5 years’ experience using AutoCAD and solidworks.
  • Basic experience with FAA/EASA certification requirements
  • Basic experience with mechanical and/or electrical design of components of an LRU 
  • Basic experience in conducting qualification testing per industry standards, highly preferred
  • Basic experience in DO-160 and OEM requirements.
  • Basic experience in working with aircraft systems, instead of Basic understanding of aircraft systems.
  • Technical writing skills is a plus 
  • Researching and understanding FAA and/or OEM requirements for tech data, testing, and submittals
  • A basic understanding of running test software, and putting together a test setup prior to going into testing.
  • Execution of qualification testing to the DO-160 and aircraft OEM standards
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • AutoCAD, Solid Works experience
  • Some travel required 25%-30%
  • Great organizational skills
  • Basic experience in problem solving and trouble-shooting
  • Basic experience in creating technical documentation
  • Basic experience with mechanical and/or electrical design of components of an LRU 
  • Basic experience in managing suppliers
  • Basic experience in understanding business deliverables and objectives.
  • Basic experience in developing qualification schedules that optimize time in the lab
