DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Planned Parenthood of Orange and San Bernardino Counties has an opportunity for a Director of Business Intelligence in Anaheim, CA responsible for leading a team that is implementing scalable ETL processes and data pipelines to support a variety of business needs, refining the design of data warehouse, and understanding the impact that this can have across the organization. Improves process and collaboration across groups and provide coaching and professional growth to the team. Works with senior management bringing in data driven management culture.

Responsibilities
Essential Functions: Essential functions encompass the required tasks, duties and responsibilities performed as part of the job and the reason the job exists.
• Responsible for BI Architecture of the all Clinical Analytics products and gathering business requirements, understand it and implement in data model in terms of adding new subject areas, existing entities etc.
• Modelling data and metadata to support machine learning and AI and build statistical models, apply machine learning techniques, analyze very large data sets and construct metrics using these modeling techniques.
• Provide leadership to Data Engineering teams and drive the Data Architecture from various source system to Data warehouse and further data visualization and statistics
• Hands on designing, developing ETL strategy and programming in SQL, PL/SQL.
• Hands on developing and designing visualization dashboard in Power BI, Tableau and ESRI ArcGIS etc.
• Hands on experience in scripting languages i.e. Python, PERL and Unix shell scripts.
• Provide complex analysis and recommendations regarding data management and the design of dashboard and reports; oversee the development of interactive query tools and dashboards for central and distributed users.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align our data strategy with business strategy and translate our data vision into an actionable strategy and roadmaps, and own execution
• Communicate with business partners, software vendors, and internal departments.
• Works with business entities defining organizational dashboards.
• Responsible for the global standardization of Data Engineering processes and process improvement and efficiency Basic Qualifications:
• Hands-on development using and migrating data to cloud platforms as needed
• Proficiency in relational database design and development and hands-on experience with big data technologies (NoSQL databases, Hadoop, Hive, Hbase, Pig etc.)
• Familiar and hands on experience in using HIPAA 5010 Transaction sets (835, 837) as well as Clinical HL7 (ADT) transaction sets.
• Develops and maintains a strong working relationship with customer and user departments.
• Responsible for managing data engineering and analytics functions within the organization.

Minimum Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, information systems or related field is required. Master’s degree is preferred.

Minimum Work Experience:
• 4+ years’ experience working with SAS, SPSS, R, Python or other statistical software required.

Preferred Tools and Technologies experience
• Databases - Oracle 11g, 12C, Oracle Exadata, Oracle VLDB, SAP HANA, Microsoft SQL Server
• Microsoft SQL Server - SSRS & SSIS
• NoSQL Databases (MongoDB, Couch DB)
• Big data i.e. Hadoop, hive and pig.
• Complex Reporting/Dashboard Solution (MS Power BI, Tableau, Tibco Spotfire, Business Objects, Microstretegy, OBIEE)
• Location Analytics (ESRI ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS mobile, ESRI Business Analysis)
• Cloud computing (Azure, AWS)
• SAP ERP system SAB Business one
• Conceptual, Logical and Physical Data Modeling (Erwin, Oracle SQL Data Modeler)
• Data Warehousing, Data Analysis
• ETL process (Oracle PL/SQL, T-SQL, Informatica, Ab-initio and SSIS)
• Performance Optimization,
• Database Administration (Oracle, SQL Server, SAP HANA) Scripting (Python, R, PERL Script, Shell and batch scripting)

Supervisory Experience:
• Minimum of 5+ years of people management required.
• A minimum of 5+ years of related work experience in a leadership/management capacity around building a data warehouse, data marts, and BI program management.
• Demonstrated ability as an effective leader including coaching and team-building skills.
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
• Budgeting experience.
• Excellent strategic planning skills.
• Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work without direct supervision.
