Human Resource Generalist

Human Resource Representative

Generalist Responsibilities:
• Relay basic human resources-related policy information and/or conduct interpretation to resolve routine questions and assist employees. • Enter various employee data (open jobs, pay increase, title changes, etc.) into the human resource information system. Create, administer and improve the necessary workflows for that data. • Assist in recruiting and new hire orientation. • Administer, maintain and correct all performance assessment tests. • Assists in administering the Employee Suggestion Program. • Monitors and documents the No Fault Attendance plan for hourly employees within corporate, and initiates the appropriate actions (warnings, disciplinary time off or termination). Also backs up HR- GR Plant when needed. • Monitors and documents the vacation benefits, including earned time off, for corporate employees. • Assists with sending out new hire paperwork and sends weekly new hire orientation roster. • Organizes new hire paperwork and confirms submission of required employment documents such as tax forms, I-9, etc. • Coordinates the DOT program and ensures compliance with DOT regulations for affected P&C drivers. • Orders office supplies for Human Resources and Training/Development teams. • Completes Verification of Employment forms for corporate hourly employees. • Scans all personnel files and runs reporting as necessary. • Aids as a back-up for the receptionist as needed. • Perform other duties as directed by the Human Resources Manager and the Vice President of Human Resources.

 • Enters benefit plan information for new employees in the Human Resource Information Systems. • Tracks and sends end of employment documentation to terminated employees. • Assists the Company's Education Reimbursement program to ensure compliance to Company plan document. Position Requirements Qualified Candidates Will Possess The Following Minimum Requirements
• Bachelors in Human Resources (or a related field) • 6+ months of experience performing human resources-related duties • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills • Ability to handle employee records and materials in a secure and confidential manner and ensure the privacy and confidentiality of all employee information • Experience performing human resources-related duties in a professional environment • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to perform projects with a high degree of detail • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint • Exceptional professional attributes of self-motivation, dependability and confidentiality • Strong interpersonal skills along with the ability to build effective work relationships • An excellent work record, including attendance
