Oversee network and provide server and workstation support. Support day to day computer operations and mandate highest levels of service for all staff members. Operate and monitor SEMA's computer systems and maintain SEMACARE helpdesk system. Establish and maintain security systems and procedures for both internal and external functions. Service Association staff computing needs and provide staff assistance and training.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITY
  1. Responsible for the configuration and installation of hardware and software applications.
  2. Oversee support for all server and desktop environments, including hardware, software, peripherals and training.
  3. Assist in the development of and provide direct control over SEMA’s security systems and procedures for all internal and external functions.
  4. Develop and maintain system standards and procedures for desktop and server environments. Ensure that adequate procedures manuals are developed for all functions within Computer Operations.
  5. Manage and support SEMA’s Microsoft Office 365 online services.
  6. Manage of disaster recovery procedures and updates.
  7. Maintain SEMA’s network infrastructure, including servers, hubs, switches, wiring, firewall and UPS.
  8. Manage and monitor system backups, maintain inventory of computer supplies.
  9. Manage and maintain hardware and software audit.
  10. Coordinate services and support with all association support vendors.
  11. Manage and setup IT related services at the associations tradeshows.
  12. Travel to the local remote facilities and events when necessary.
  13. Maintains and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
  14. When directed by management, perform other assignments and duties as required.
 


RELATIONSHIPS

Reports to the Senior Director, Information Technology.
Interfaces with all levels of staff.
Interfaces with Association members, outside computer vendors and contractors.
  


SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

  1. Detailed knowledge of VMware, Windows Server, Windows Desktop and Apple operating systems.
  2. Understanding of network infrastructure, servers, hubs, switches, wiring, firewall and UPS systems.
  3. Detailed knowledge of the Microsoft Office 365 online applications.
  4. Ability to manage systems and develop procedures.
  5. Be a team contributor, with the ability to work autonomously and solve problems.
  6. Work related experience in a business environment preferred.
  7. Operational knowledge and understanding of system backup methods and recovery procedures.
  8. Possess good oral and written communication skills and ability to provide work direction to others.
  9. Prefer Bachelor’s degree in IT Field, certifications or work experience in lieu of degree.
