The Opportunity:
If you are looking to kickstart your career in software sales, this role is for you! Reporting to the Business Development Manager, and as part of the business development team, you are the first line of contact for all prospects. This involves conducting research on American manufacturers (our prospects), calling and emailing them to educate them on the problems we solve and following up on inbound leads. Once an opportunity is identified, the BDR partners with the Account Executive to seamlessly hand off the prospect so the AE can finish the sales cycle and close the deal. You will get to work with and learn from some of the hardest working and most successful salespeople in the industry, and there is ample opportunity for your own professional development. This includes the possibility of traveling once a quarter and representing Paperless Parts at events across the country.

You are someone who is motivated by a career in software sales and someone who likes to win! The most successful Business Development Representatives are not only self-starters but focused and dynamic individuals who never want to stop learning. You also must have strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to listen and capture the needs of our prospects, and then effectively communicate how we meet their needs. But most importantly, you are a team player who wakes up every morning with a burning desire to be part of an organization that is revolutionizing an industry. 
 
Responsibilities:
 
  • Research contacts at prospective new accounts so you can effectively reach out to them via cold call and email
  • Utilize sales and lead generation tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, SalesForce, and EDA to find manufacturers who would benefit from Paperless Parts 
  • Partner with your Account Executives to identify target accounts and turn them into prospective customers
  • Achieve your specific daily, monthly, and quarterly pipeline metrics to help Paperless Parts achieve its sales goals

Knowledge, skill, and abilities:
  • Entry level 
  • SaaS/cloud experience, Salesforce experience, preferred
  • Prior exposure to a CRM tool, preferred
  • Experience in sales or the tech space, preferred
  • Proven ability to influence others and create a sense of urgency
  • Travel required: once a quarter, proof of vaccination required

Location: We are headquartered out of Boston, but our California office is located at 543 Encinitas Blvd, Encinitas CA.

We have a foosball table, a rotating selection of beer on tap, and snacks. Employees must be vaccinated to enter our office.
