DevOps Engineer

Job Summary: 
As a DevOps engineer, work closely with software engineers to help them deploy and operate different systems. In addition, help to automate and streamline the company’s operations and processes. A Combination of a DevOps Engineer and a DevOps solutions architect. 
Essential Functions: 
  • Ability to automate build and deploy the code. 
  • Research and utilize a wide variety of open-source technologies.  

  • Use various tools to orchestrate solutions. Fluent with DevOps and Automation tools and practices. 

  • Automate builds and deployments of components for legacy and new microservices. 

  • Test, build, design, deploy, and ability to maintain continuous integration and continuous delivery process using various DevOps tools. 

  • Must know how to choose the best tools and technologies which fit the business needs. 
  • Manage source control, build engines and repositories including Gitlab, Gitlab-runners, antifactory, WhiteSource, Jenkins, etc. 

  • Work close with development and IT teams such that the application is in line with business needs. 

  • Architect deployment strategies of the application on different platforms like on-premise and the cloud using automated tools like but not limited to Ansible, Kubernetes, Docker, AWS services, GitLab-ci, etc. 

  • Work towards Cloud and SaaS enablement. 

  • Support other departments and customers for DevOps needs. 
Requirements
  • Knowledge of best practices related to DevOps and Cloud technologies including Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, Azure 

  • Proficient in Linux ecosystem 

  • Proficient in IaaC languages/scripting 
  • Team player. 

  • Ability to keep up with software development and operations trends and innovations. 

  • Interpersonal and communication skills. 
Required Education/Experience: 
  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science.
