Project Business Analyst

JOB DESCRIPTION
We are hiring a Project Business Analyst to join our team. You will work alongside both the project implementations team and sales team and report directly to the department lead. Your main tasks will include detailed project scoping during pre-sales, requirement gathering and analysis for implementation projects, and creating process, workflow, and systems architecture documentation/diagrams. To succeed in this role, you should have a natural analytical way of thinking and should be able to explain complex concepts and processes to non-technical team members. This is a client-facing role, so it is important that you are an effective communicator and feel comfortable conversating and presenting to our customers daily. 

Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate, document, and suggest improvements for our customers business processes and workflows 
  • Lead requirement gathering sessions with our clients to understand their needs and identify gaps where custom solutions may be necessary 
  • Create solutions, architectures, and processes for the implementation of various requirements for our clients projects 
  • Conduct meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings both internally and with our clients 
  • Effectively communicate your insights and plans to cross-functional team members 
  • Ensure our implementation solutions meet our clients business needs and requirements by guiding the implementations and performing user acceptance testing 
  • Bridging the gap between IT and the business using analytics to assess processes

Requirements:
  • A bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field
  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills
  • The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions
  • Excellent documentation and writing skills
  • Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills
  • Eager and willing to learn in an ever-changing industry 

Preferred:
  • Previous experience in eCommerce
  • Knowledge of BigCommerce and/or Adobe Commerce 
  • Understanding of software paradigms, APIs, and SDKs 
  • A bachelor's degree or minor in Computer Science or related field
