I loved gaining on the job training in wine and spirits sales and learning how to deal with buyers in both on and off premise accounts. I was a huge fan of the networking and relationships I gained through the company both in house and with the people I dealt with from different suppliers. I also appreciated the research survey development and event planning experienced I gained through planning the Seattlina Wine Mixer, a charity wine tasting event in which we administered surveys to attendees to better understand millennial consumption habits.
What I wish was different
I wish that I would have been given more time at the internship to be able to participate in more sales-follows and gain even more hands-on experience in the field.
Advice
